OMRON HMI, or Programmable Terminals (PTs), are used in conjunction with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and computers. The computer acts as an interface between the user and the machinery, controlling and displaying the data. The HMI transmits data from the PLC via various communication networks and integrates the data into different formats. Almost all modern industrial applications utilize automated control systems with PLCs, which in turn must be used in conjunction with HMIs. The HMI serves as a communication device between the user and the PLC module or display, allowing the PLC to send commands to the machinery for operation on the production line.
