OMRON Relays are electronic devices that act as switches, connecting and disconnecting circuits using electromagnetic induction. A relay operates only when power is supplied to it. When power is received, the contacts close, creating a closed circuit. When power is removed, the relay opens. The power supply to the relay comes from the electrical device's power source; therefore, as soon as power is supplied, the relay automatically activates. Omron relays come in various types, including general-purpose relays, power relays, latching relays, ratchet relays, and stepping relays.
